Mediation Week 2017: October 15-22

Since 2011, the American Bar Association (ABA) has celebrated Mediation Week, the third week in October,  by acknowledging the strides made in promoting mediation as an effective dispute resolution process, as well as to increase awareness that alternative dispute resolution can be an effective path around a traditionally adversarial process.

This year Timothy Warner,  attorney, chairman of Cavitch’s litigation group and alternative dispute resolution mediator and arbitrator, is serving as a regional liaison in support of Mediation Week 2017 with the theme of “Mediation, Civility and the Power of Understanding.” Tim begins working with other liaisons, and the ABA, to organize events around the Cleveland area to recognize, support, educate and advocate for the process of mediation when appropriate. Programs held during ABA Mediation Week will provide inspiration and the tools necessary to bridge the gap that often prevents amicable resolution of disputes.
