Morgan A. Schweighoefer joined the law firm of Cavitch Familo & Durkin in Spring of 2021 as an associate attorney. Morgan is a member of the Litigation Practice Group, Estate Planning Group, and Business Law Group. She focuses her practice in the areas of general business planning and litigation as well as estate plan preparation, administration and handling of probate and trust matters.
Morgan has advised clients on a variety of matters related to these issues, such as business and non-profit formation, succession planning, employment contract preparation and review, estate matters including customized estate planning, the preparation of real estate and corporate records, estate administration, trust and probate matters, as well as general litigation matters, including those involving real estate, residential and commercial evictions, contract disputes, and other general transactions.
Morgan earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Akron School of Law, Cum Laude, in December of 2020. Throughout law school, Morgan was a member of Phi Delta Phi Honors Society and participated in numerous volunteer activities.
Prior to law school, Morgan earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology from the College of Wooster, and her Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Kent State University with a focus on public management. In her spare time, Morgan enjoys paddleboarding, hiking with her dog, and reading.
