Jacob Doerr

Jacob W. Doerr joined Cavitch in August of 2022 as an Associate Attorney.

Jake earned his Juris Doctor from the Case Western Reserve University School of Law in May 2022. While at Case, Jake was an active member of the Ault Mock Trial Team, where his team won their region and placed in the top ten nationally at the National Trial Competition (NTC), the premier mock trial competition in the nation. Jake was nominated by his coaches for induction into the Order of Barristers, in recognition of his achievements. During law school, Jake clerked for several federal agencies, including the FTC, Department of Labor, and NLRB, in addition to working for a few small law firms in the area.

Prior to law school, Jake earned his undergraduate degree in History from the University of Kansas Honors Program in 2016. While at KU, Jake participated as one of two undergraduate representatives on a Sexual Assault Task Force convened by the university Chancellor, and volunteered at a local domestic violence shelter.

Jake was born in Wichita, Kansas, but considers Shenandoah, Iowa his hometown. Outside of work, Jake can usually be found exploring Cleveland's neighborhoods with his friends and family, reading environmental or cultural histories, and cheering on his beloved Kansas Jayhawks.
