Shareholder Chip Erb is Chairman of the firm’s Capital and Finance Group. Chip’s practice focuses primarily on representing banks and financial institutions in commercial lending, loan restructuring and documentation matters. His background includes representing clients in business and commercial lending transactions, with an emphasis in the areas of creditors’ rights, loan restructuring and workouts.
Chip began his career in the banking industry where he managed a commercial loan portfolio at a major regional bank. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1982 from Kenyon College and a Master’s degree in Business Administration with distinction in 1985 from Thunderbird, The Garvin School of International Management. In 2000 he received a Juris Doctor degree summa cum laude from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law.
Chip is admitted to practice law in Ohio as well as before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio. He is a member of the Ohio Bar Association and the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association.
Chip and his wife Karla reside in Rocky River, Ohio, where he is a member and Past President of Westwood Country Club. Chip is also a member of The Union Club of Cleveland.
