Jennifer is an attorney with the firm’s Business Practice Group and Estate Planning Group. She has a Master of Taxation from the University of Akron and is a Certified Public Accountant.
At Cavitch Familo & Durkin, Co., LPA, Jennifer focuses her practice in the areas of Federal, State and Local Tax Planning and Controversies, Estate Planning and Mergers and Acquisitions. She works on a variety of tax-related matters and advises clients on multi-generational wealth preservation and transfers. Jennifer also helps non-profits with tax planning, tax-exempt status and organizational structuring.
Jennifer attended Kent State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting, summa cum laude, in May, 2007. She subsequently attended the University of Akron School of Law, where she was a recipient of the Board of Trustee’s Scholarship. While at the University of Akron, she was a research assistant for a tax professor and also was an extern for Judge Randolph Baxter at the United States Bankruptcy Court. Jennifer earned both her J.D. and Master of Taxation in May, 2010.
Jennifer is licensed to practice in the State of Ohio, Northern District of Ohio, and the United States Tax Court. She has published in the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Journal and teaches tax and accounting classes as an adjunct professor at Hiram College.
